I see this form both sides. I’m a long term nanny (10+ years with the same family) and last year the preschooler made up a complete lie about me and the Dad pulled me aside to talk about it. He was really upset (lie was along the lines of leaving her alone, which I would never do!!). I’m not sure the parents believed me until a month later the preschooler said she thinks it was a dream. I’m really glad I didn’t get fired, because the story was completely believable and the kid never lies like that.
However, I’d check with the school about the baby as leaving a child in the car is illegal and a fireable offence. Full stop. Nanny should always be 15 mins early for pick up in case things like poop happen. I’m always early and park outside the school and read a book to be safe. For every rat you see there’s 50 you don’t and this nanny probably needs to go.

Exactly. Just call and speak to an adult.
See what the adults at school say - you can check with preschool to see who picked up there (kinder should have been there) and kinder to see if both littles came with nanny to get the big.
I highly doubt BOTH of your children are making up a cohesive story based on nothing.

Anonymous wrote:OP here. I called her and she said my preschooler is making it up. Says she picked them up regular order and brought baby into the office with her. I’m not sure what to believe now. I’m going to ask my kindergartener separately tomorrow.
