once it made me get off 495 and go on the side street to come back onto 495 on the next exit! Then I ended up waiting an hour on the exit turning to 495. That was the first and only time I used it. Deleted it that day.

Waze is 50/50 for me.

It's usually really great in the city but can be terrible in the 'burbs. Last month in VA it told me I'd save 17 mins by going an alternate way. Sure! I went that way and it took me off a 55 mph road to side streets that were 35 mph and had lots of 4-way stop signs. Waze didn't figure in the small backup at each stop sign because Virginian's chronically don't understand how to use 4-way stops. I ended up getting back on the main road a bit later and managed to get there just 2 mins. after my original arrival time that Waze gave me when I started my trip.

There is a new setting for this. “Avoid difficult intersections”

Also I just noticed that it defaults to one route but now let’s you know, “ this route is 1 min quicker than the next route”, or something. (I always hated when waze would try to save me 1 min, because technically that was “quickest” but was forced to make a crazy turn.)

They seem to be making subtle updates, but these 2 over the past year or so I appreciate.
