Will it swim? These buses serve Brighton, Hove, Eastbourne, Lewes, Shoreham-by-Sea, Steyning, and Royal Tunbridge Wells, in England.

Great. We’ve picked up international trolls.

Wish I rented and did not care.

Heck, if I rented instead of owning, I would probably support it.

As things are, I kind of bought anticipating minimal diversity bussing, so most likely we'll be OK unless the county shreds all existing maps, which is legally can. Friends elsewhere with a 200k differentials on recently purchased homes next to boundaries with failing schools? Sucks. No one I know would ever actually send their kids to those "schools", so I am less worried about the kids. They are not coming.

I hope the social justice warriors choke on that money, but I am under no illusion. No crook or thief has choked on honest people's money or broken lives yet.

+1 I think OP might be a troll. All you have to do is look at the MD school forum.

Honestly though - you'd be surprised about how clueless most people are about this. I live in the boundary of the SV/NW/CHS study and my neighbors didn't even know about it.

I doubt that they don't know about it because if they have kids in MCPS, MCPS sends out emais, flyers about this study. In the last few months, I have received so many emails, flyers about meetings, meetings cancellations, survey etc... there's no way they don't know about it. They're probably not as hysterical as you might be.

I received only a couple. We are in Bethesda.
MOST parents at our school don’t understand the implications of the boundary discussions and are busy with their lives.

MoCo/MD taxes are much bigger issue to your property values then school redistricting.

OP people are filling out the survey. It seems to be limited to the affected people as it requires you to enter some personal information. So no trolls will be completing the survey. Just relax. Your kids will be fine, you will be fine, and your property value will be fine. It seems like you are very worried and that is unfortunate. It’s going to be okay.
