Why not? Both clubs are pretty established (though I had never really paid attention to TOCA until they announced this facility) and both facilities are in perfect spots to draw players from all counties around it. Both will be right off 70 on the north and not too far from 270 on the south.

I like seeing a club put some local pressure on FC Frederick finally. But most of the eskay kids are moving out of high school now so the facility will be their legacy.

Toca is moving up the ladder and they are plugged into the Latino community with the club's Argentine roots. Look for Toca to become the elite club in Frederick. Unlike FC Frederick, Toca has the institutional knowledge and a core base of players to challenge clubs like Bethesda and Loudoun in 5 years.

Yeah, FC Frederick is a joke.

I live in the area and we got our first experience with FC frederick when a coach for the U11 team (give or two 1 year) held tryouts for Alliance and then when it was time to send offers he sent offers for his FC Frederick team! He knew he had taken a job with FC Frederick and still held alliance tryouts to poach the best players.

And yes, its all about the Eskays. Urbana HS stadium has banners, FISC has banners and I guess hes in the "hall of fame" there, etc etc etc.

And now theyre building their huge complex in the county.

And everything stated about their training at the younger ages is 100% true.

Also heard many stories that the Eskeys only care about themselves and their kids. After seeing their clubs Instagram account this is definitely true! No instagram stories on younger kids but a bunch on their kids and their friends.

It’s amazing that no one came in here to say anything good about this club and a lot of the stories match!

Their 06, 07 and 08 teams performed poorly in the mid level Baltimore Mania Tournament this weekend. I guess all their kids have fun though and look forward to their end of season fried chicken picnic they hold!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's noticed this.

To further this. They run “camps” with all the money going to the Bo Eskey kids teams! You get a “camp” shirt that allows you free admission to the semi pro games at Hood college which they are leasing for the semi pro team but not youth. They youth have many games and practices cancelled because they don’t have turf or rent out indoor space at Frederick Indoor Sports.

Why not use the money from the camps to pay for real coaches and technical directors at the lower age groups. Why didn’t they use money years ago to purchase fields, especially turf fields and do more for the kids U13 and under.

You even go to the U6, U7, U8 parent meetings and have to watch a video about this little red haired boy and what he is now. That boy is (you guessed it) and Eskay! Crazy they make you watch a biography of their kid.

Please FC Frederick go tweet / instagram about the Harrisburg Heat Or William & Mary some more!

Owner's statement at beginning. Main focus is High School Soccer teams...saying that it is the best experience.

Club motto is "Raising the Bar", with the bar being set for your kid to make it's High School Soccer team.

May want to change that motto to "Lowering the Bar".

What’s crazy about FC Frederick is if they actually could retain the local talent. The best boys from Frederick are spread out far and wide from Potomac/Bethesda, SAC and Loudoun.

If they had a decent program, they could easily be tops in the DMV. So sad.
