Keep posting, OP - I love reading these and it's such a great reminder to those of us who are parenting teens. I hope you write a book someday! If you do, post it here and we'll all buy it!

I am 52 and still think about my Senior high s hook English teacher, she was only 30 at the time but we could tell she liked us all and she was happy to see us. I just loved her.

OP, thank you so much for this. You are exactly the kind of teacher that this county needs more of. Keep doing exactly what you’re doing!!

Thank you, thank you, OP! I remember your earlier post. Both made me cry. I don’t think my high schoolers have any teachers like you now but hope they will next year.

I agree a book or a TED talk would be great!

Thank you for being such a loving teacher.

I’ll bet she’s one of my son’s teachers. He has one like op and it’s such a relief for kids when they have that one teacher who gets them. It’s a relief for me too, as a parent.

I cried toward the middle. The Dollar Tree trophy anecdote, actually. Thank you for loving our kids!

Thank you, OP. I often remember your other post - the line about eating goldfish really resonated (odd as that sounds). I sincerely hope my oldest has a teacher like you. He needs you. Thank you.

I've just texted my high school senior son and set up a dinner/movie evening with just the two of us. Your post is a great reminder to cherish every minute I have "left" with him.

Thank you so, so much OP.
