Congrats? I have a younger child in a car seat and my older child is in a booster. I can’t fit another booster and/or kid in the middle seat.

We do this all the time in a Honda Fit. Worst case scenario get 3 diono radian car seats and install across all 3 seats. Goes up to 80 pounds with 5 point harness.

Or buy a big honking wannabe truck.

Don’t own but have looked at and recommend considering the new Buick Enclave and The new 7 seater Subaru. If you are regularly transporting more than 2 kids I also recommend captains chairs in 2nd row.

Minivan. Push a button, doors slide open kids pile in, like magic. Still space in the back for sports crap, etc. Around here only soccer moms drive SUVs

Now that I think about it some of the models have a bench in the 2nd row. I’m not sure how high in the line you have to go for captains chairs. We bought an elite which is the top.

The 3rd row is comfortable and doesn’t feel as claustrophobic as some other 3 row SUVs. We were debating between the Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot but the Highlander had a very cramped 3rd row.

I have an older model Pilot with a bench seat. The kids in the 3rd row either climb over the seat or in thru the cargo area. I wouldn't do this every day but for carpooling its fine.

I have 2 kids, 12 and 9. We do a lot of sports carpooling. I had a 2013 Explorer with bucket seats. It easily transported 4 kids...as long as they didn’t have backpacks, hockey bags, lacrosse equipment, ski stuff, baseball bags—you get the idea. I could transport 2 kids and 2 kids stuff or 4 kids but not 4 kids and 4 kids stuff.

I now have a 2018 Traverse with captains chairs. It’s slightly wider than than the explorer so the 3rd row theoretically fits 3 people. One of those people better be small though. The 3rd row is a 2/1 split unlike the Explorer which is a 1/1 split. That means that I can put down 1 seat and still fit 2 kids, albeit tight, in the 3rd row.

I really wanted a Suburban but found it difficult to maneuver in a lot of the area parking lots. Lots of people have them and do, it was just more effort than I wanted to put forth every day.

I absolutely love my Sienna. But I wouldn't have it if I just had two kids, just for carpools.

Not PP but I have the Atlas and it really does fold down with all car seats, convertible or backed boosters. My kids are past rear facing so can't speak to that but I agree it's a great family car.
