Not just the armpits. If she's an athlete, she needs to wash behind her knees as well. We were shocked to discover this was the smelly spot on my kid.

I have done the putting deodorant on when my armpit stinks and you are right, my deodorant then absorbed the smell. So gross

Yes. Deodorant is fine, but it's the antiperspirant that stops the demon smells...

Are the clothes getting clean enough? I had to start buying Hex detergent for my teenager's clothes. Even the hockey uniforms come out smelling clean now. Sometimes I even have to pretreat his stuff with Hex spray. My middle schooler has PE every day so they always smell by the end of the day.

I use the clinical strength deodorant, but my teen doesn't like the cream cheese consistency (she tried it) and prefers one of the store brands. My fifth grader needs to upgrade from Tom's. It's too weak sauce for her now. She needs the real stuff.

Have your kid soak their feet in a tub of warm water mixed with baking soda or vinegar in the summer if their feet stink. Soak for 15 minutes. It works really well! Replace their shoes if necessary, too.

I have to rotate them periodically. They stop working every now and again. I've used Dove, Degree, Secret and Tom's. The Tom's, while more natural, doesn't work well at all. As someone else said, she needs a real deod/antiperspirant at 12.
