DP not sure what you consider “clinical” terms? At any rate I don’t hurl insults at my husband’s genitalia which is what this term has become. It’s not about “obscenity” it is about how extremely negative the connotation is. The fact that there isn’t a male parallel is a whole separate issue I’d guess.

Honestly, I associate it more with calling a person that, rather than as genital slang. It is such a crass curse word that I didn’t even hear it spoken until I was in high school, well after learning (and using) all other swear words. It is like the n-word for females here. It would be a deal breaker for me, I’m just a prude like that.

I’d definitely recoil and say something. And if it was used again that would be that.

This would bother me too, mainly because it’s a word that generally had a negative connotation. It’s a name we call someone when they aren’t being very nice. Nothing abiut that is a turn on - quite the opposite. I’d find a light-hearted way to mention it. If you use that term to refer to my body, I’ll see you next Tuesday!
