I love all of her soups! The salt level is just right for me, however I also think that most commercial soups are too salty to my taste. So adding more salt didn't solve the problem for you folks?

The butternut squash that they sell at Costco is horrible. Flat, bland and bottom ng

No, it's a woman who owns a local soup business. They have their own shops but also sell soups at Costco and other stores.

Have any of you provided feedback to the store?

There's clearly a lot if people that like her soup the way it is so there's no reason for them to change. I just switched to other soups that I like better.

I’ve tried several at the Takoma Park location and I don’t find them bland...I like the vegetable curry the best. Most soups and takeout food are so over salted and seasoned that it’s nice to have something clean and healthy.

I could have written this myself. One time recently, they were offering samples at Whole Foods, and my kids and I each tried a couple different kinds, and they were all lousy. I found myself wondering how those samples could possibly help sales.

(I should clarify--I have also bought the soups, both from the Takoma location and from Whole Foods. I'm not basing my whole opinion off of samples I ate with a plastic spoon from a paper cup.)

Maybe people think they have to taste bland to be healthy, so they buy them but then they go home and add bacon and bacon grease to them!

I love the "cream" of broccoli but haven't seen it in years.

Gazpachos are good.

Yep, they are awful — even at the Takoma location. You’d think if you specialize in one thing, you’d do that one thing well. Yuck. I also wonder how they are staying in business.

I go to the M street shop weekly and an omnivore and do wish they contained meat. I think they are great. I love the gazpachos best. Second best is anything pureed. Thrid is anything curried. I DO NOT like anything with pasta-type products in them. Those suck. Bean ones can be hit/miss.

That said, I love all soup.

I have tried a bunch of their soups at the Takoma location and really like them, so I wonder if it’s the storebought ones that aren good?
