Yes, he wrote a few harsh emails threatening children and their parents by saying he would blackball them if their kids didn't stick with the program. That's not harsh or competitive.
He also runs a program continually caught cheating by playing kids from older rosters down onto younger rosters. The entire program had to forfeit at the Hershey tournament last summer and one of their teams had to forfeit in this year's HoCo playoffs. We aren't talking about kids born prior to the US guideline of 9/1. He plays kids enrolled in an older class in lower class divisions.


Still that is nothing compared with the history of BW guy. That stated there are good programs run by good people.

If the kids can play college coaches don't care what the uniforms look like. The reason the team looks like a bunch of individuals or last minute pick up team is because they do not practice very much as a team and did not start the teams prior to HS where ML, NL, DCE teams may have been playing together for years. Also, the '22 team has a few good players and the talent falls off. Players on that team and in that program are there to showcase themselves not play as a team. Now that they are not getting the talent kids will leave. 23 team lost the top players they had.

What? you have a bunch of boys show up wearing diff pinnies and shorts and that doesn't send a message to college coaches that the club coaches don't give a crap. they players look like a bunch of individuals doing their own thing and this once very good program ends up looking like a last minute pick-up team.

My DS is in his fourth year of travel lacrosse and I have never encountered any "ne'er do wells". He has been with great coaches and great kids, and has had a tremendous experience.

I've had experience at Madlax and it was subpar. Cabel losing his mind for a bit in an email exchange was immature and inexcusable but if that were his only fault I would chalk it up to an anomaly but I first hand witnessed some things that made us immediately pull our son from the program at the conclusion of the season. My son was approached about joining Blackwolf and after a bit of searching we decided that the character of the coach is paramount. I have no personal interaction with Coach Trig but on the list of things that you don't recover from in life, I think sexual contact with a minor is close to the top.

We've been at VLC and have seen the progression of the talent and the coaching is without question quality. I believe good players can thrive anywhere but I think that as parents we have to put our kids around men (and women) of good character. I've interacted with the NL coach and found the same quality of coaching and character. In the end that should be the standard. Not college recruiting. College is not the destination, its just a station along the way. As cool as the PLL may be, I don't think any of should be hoping our son is the starting FOGO for Chaos and start looking for the club that can get them there.

A key to any legit club is the tournaments. DC Express, Next Level, VLC, and Madlax all are in the good tournaments. Blackwolf does some in the fall, but their summer tournaments, like Baltimore Summer Kickoff, are 2nd tier events. They are not in Naptown or Crabfeast (the two biggest local events). Why? I also didn't like how they dressed for some of their summer games, different pinnies/shorts. Looked sloppy.
