That was good enough for 3rd place of 10 teams and gets them promoted to Division 1 for this Spring. Some notes on their Fall games are a 6-5 win over Calverton and a 4-3 win over Barca. They had two seemingly "easy" wins of 4-0 and 6-0 though. I don't think there is anything to be upset about with the competition last Fall, and the Spring will be tough.
Barca doesn't do NCSL, must be a different club.
It's not the Barca Academy out in Loudoun. It's the SDoradus club in Springfield area.
Barca Academy joined ODSL. This was a SDoradus, which used to call itself Barca.

What's an "appropriate" level of competition? As others have pointed out, they went 6-2-1, not 9-0. The important thing at that age is to play, and keep learning. People worry too much about things that don't matter.
If you think your DS isn't getting "appropriate" competition, take him to DC United and see what they can do with him. Or go to Europe.
Actually the U11 Green team was 2-6-1. Sounds like competition is better than appropriate for them.
