We go to Banfield and have a wellness plan...free office visits and all wellness things are covered (shots, bloodwork once a year, routine exams)- our plan also includes yearly teeth cleaning (with anesthesia). The whole thing has been very worth it for us.

I inquired about this and was told that they can’t do nearly as good of a job as when the dog is put under.

Anyone have any success doing something on their own? Would starting to brush now help? Any special toothpastes that would be super aggressive in cleaning?

You have an expensive vet. Ours was between 400-500.
