I'd wait a few minutes, personally. My kid will often ask for seconds and then a few minutes later realize she is full and if I gave her more she wouldn't even eat it. She is off the chart for weight so I try to make sure she is truly hungry before giving her more food. But if your child is underweight or very rarely asks for more, your analysis might be different.

The answer is "yes." Why is it even a question? What I don't do, however, is giving in to food requests as a bedtime delay tactic.

Yes, especially at dinner because she'll sleep better.

There are so many days where my 5 yo appears to survive on air -- I wish she would eat a chicken nugget -- that I would be thrilled to feed her a PB&J after a completed dinner.

+1 because my kid's daily average of fruits is 0-1 and veggies is 0. But he'll refuse them and request more bread. Now wondering if I'm doing it wrong.
