Yes I do think so a s I know everyone is going to freak out but you have to put aside the kids that are legacies. If you are talking kid to kid with no hook it is largely the same.

That wasn't my question. If you compare apples to apples, is it your contention that the (top/middle/bottom) SSSAS students will end up with similar college admissions as those at the (top/middle/bottom) from Sidwell or GDS?

The top students at any of these schools will do the best with college admissions. The middle schools at Langley and SSSAS start in 6th; Potomac intermediate school starts in 7th. Which grade did you apply to?

Potomac will certainly be harder to get into than the other schools with their 6th being especially hard. 7th will probably depend on currently class size/boy-girl ratio/attrition for Langley and SSSAS.

Put your child on the waitlist if you don’t get your top choice—things shuffle all the way into the summer.

FYI OP do not confuse hard to get into with being better. All these schools are pretty much the same in terms of opportunity. Most k12 have similiar outplacement form college.

Some kids leave SSSA after lower or middle for Big 3. While that is true, I know several families who have had children go all the way through SSSA and their kids have had excellent college placement.

Understood-but I’ve heard yield is higher so maybe those numbers are off. 60% seems too low.
