Subject: No Valentines Day in public school??
Our charter does not recognize holidays. There was a big thing years ago if pumpkins were autumnal or Halloween.
Interesting - they do now have dress as your favorite superhero as a part of spirit week. I guess the message of no costumes only applies to at Halloween

Subject: No Valentines Day in public school??
It's a fun way for kids to give each other little gifts and cards. What's the harm?
Also, Valentine's Day has been celebrated in various forms for more than a thousand years. Hallmark didn't just make it up.

Our WTOP elementary school did a Valentine's exchange today and they had a little party. I don't think the loss of a half hour is going to ruin my DD's future. This is just your typical psycho social justice warrior DCUM whack jobs raising an issue where there isn't one.

We told our kid to bring Valentines for every kid, or JUST ONE!!!!!
