We are at Mt. Olivet. I think that it's really gone downhill in the past few years. No, the teachers do not really communicate with parents much at all. There is one really awesome teacher there, but I don't think she's happy, and I wouldn't be surprised if she was pushed out.
Don't know if this matters to you, but the preschool and the church are really trying to be more of a single unit. When we started, the preschool was just a school in the church building. Now they do Bible versus and go to chapel and really push the church thing. I think that the church is hurting and wants to convert members from the preschool families. It's pretty obvious.
It is not an academic preschool at all, and unless you do a lot of work on your own, your child will be behind classmates in K at APS. It's too late for me to switch now, but I would if my kid didn't love their friends there so much.
Also, parking is a huge PITA.
The 5s program is great though.
What age does the awesome teacher have? Any idea why unhappy/maybe pushed out? Are the still there now?

Can you elaborate on what you think has gone downhill? Thanks!Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Not going on field trips but bringing in experiences is not “going down hill”. The liability is toogreat for field trips. Most preschools do not do them for that reason.
I never said anything about field trips. There are many other reasons I think it’s going down hill.
