Well, on one hand, aren’t we all like that sometimes? Like right after dinner, house is a mess, kids are a mess, etc. But then it’s all clean by morning.
On the other hand, I don’t really know anyone with any number of kids who would invite friends over and just leave the house a mess or who sends kids to school with dirty faces and clothes.

No because you realize that you’re a mess and quit while you can instead of adding more and more kids to the mix.

If you can’t even brush your kids hair, wipe their face, and get them out of pajama pants in the morning then yes I’m judging based on appearances because I assume it’s just the tip of the iceberg of things the parents aren’t keeping up with.

I guess I rarely find other people's appearances inspirational. Likewise, I'm not impressed by things that people are able to do because they have money to hire help. If you have nice clothes and work out and your house looks nice, but you have the money for childcare and a housekeeper, that's not especially inspirational. I'm more inspired by people who are busy but find ways to contribute to their community, who don't get totally sucked into family obligations.

Sure, but just remember that you never know what's going on in anyone else's house. Some of the families that look perfect and inspirational are not … at all.

Really depends on the age of the kids and how much help you have. I know plenty of moms who are super fit because that’s what they prioritize — even if it means dragging kids to the gym daycare every day or hiring a sitter. My friend who has four kids has them spread apart age wise so the oldest is self sufficient and the youngest 2 (twins) are already in first grade. When they were younger, she had a nanny despite being a SAHM because her husband makes a load of money.
