Text sometimes. Sometimes something about the news. Or how did something or other go? Towards the end of the day or on the way home a call or text to see when we're getting home.

We usually have a daily email thread, where we talk logistics, send interesting articles / memes / whatever, share office goings-on, etc.

Occasional texts on the way home.

On nights one of us is late a work, we FaceTime so the kid can say goodnight.

Occasionally text (hope your big presentation went well), or can you stop off and pick up (either a child at a friend's house or from an activity or a grocery store item) on your way home, but mostly we don't - we are at work and are busy working.

We carpool so we chat to and from work. during the day sometimes we interact on Skype for some logistical exchanges. Otherwise not very much.

We always spoke to each other several times during the day when we worked. As retirees, when one or both one of us are away from home, we talk on the phone. Just random stuff.

Depending on the day - some days zero contact dunto nattue of work. When possible, a text or call to say hello around lunch. Mostly logistics toward end of day.

Email maybe once a day. Dh has no access to his cell and is on a govt machine so I don't want to bother him. I call when it's an emergency.

Gchat or text maybe twice a day. Call maybe once a day towards the end of the day to make sure that one parent will be home in time for kids and the other parent will be home in time/coordinate any urgent grocery store purchases etc.
