She's not Asian, although I suppose it could be a lunar new year card. But that's still weird.
Not if she's in the habit of sending cards for all occasions. It would make sense, actually. In Asia, people give New Year's cards or the little red enveloped with a crisp new bill. In Japan, there's no money, but you have the social obligation to send a card to literally all your private and professional acquaintance.
So what you do is that you open it because you "thought it was a Lunar New Year's card". And who knows, maybe there's money in it![]()

Oh, I’m tempted to do it, but I do trust DH. He’s a very empathetic guy- I can see this woman having a an unreciprocated crush and he’s too nice to say anything.
But, there is that tiny voice that wonders if I’m missing something.
Honestly I feel like the fact that she normally sends postcards and notes means there is nothing secretive going on. The only reason this time it's sealed is because Valentine's cards come in card form.
She seems clueless but harmless. If there were something nefarious going on your DH would have told her to quit with those postcards a long time ago or never even let you see them since you said you're not the one who gets the mail usually. He would have been throwing those out.

Open it and then return to sender.
