It’s not really unethical - the kids are members too. I noted Below that Baltimore aquarium has a procedure for this scenario.

We always get IDd. We pay a bit extra to have a pass for ourselves and my local parents.
Baltimore aquarium lets you send a note and member card with your kid and a caregiver. Maybe ask the zoo if they would take a note from you the membership holder.

I would just let them try to use it. If they ask for Id, just say they are grandparents. Worst thing that happens is they have to pay for parking.
