I mean, I have a general notion that a woman who chafes at the idea of make up and other enhancements just to impress a man will also be somewhat asexual. But, I certainly don't have any real evidence to support that notion.
Not true.
I actually have a feeling that it might be the reverse.

As far as beauty goes, isn’t it all a little unnatural? Hairless bodies, 5 different types of paint just on your face, dyed hair, manicures and pedicures, etc?
I feel bad for women having to keep all of that up but you can take solace in the fact that internet dating is changing the game for men. Unless they’re in the top 20% they’re Tinder gets pretty lonely. Men are going to have to start stepping it up too - hitting the gym, paying better attention to fashion, getting those giant ears pinned back, getting pickle upgrade, whatever.

My DH notices false lashes, thick eyebrows, that black cat eye liner, lip injections, and Botox in real life but doesn’t notice them on tv unless I point it out. A lot of women and girls nowadays are trying to look like those on screens without realizing those things often look terrible in real life.
As for what men prefer, that’s individual. I’ve known men who like the fake look and men who hate it.
Your DH does not notice these things on real women or tv. You notice and point it out to him. He nods in agreement.

I would never consent to elective surgery, but honestly, I couldn't care less what others do. There is no fake or natural, just beauty.
How do you define that, then?
Beauty? In the eye of the beholder. I don't have the same tastes as you, probably. But on a basic level, even and healthy skin, symmetrical features, toned body. And then I don't like strong noses or eyes too close together, but that's just me. In terms of aging, well, youthfulness is always better but it has to be tasteful.
So personality has no impact on attraction? Even if the woman is attractive in natural way?
