I think that they are swingers.

Nothing really. The people I know who do this mostly are families and post pictures of kids/vacations etc. It's more efficient than both Jim and Larla posting the same pictures separately on their own pages.

I only know 1 couple who does this and it's because she was cheated on in a previous relationship where her ex met the woman online.

I only know one couple who does this. The woman is very insecure and both cheated on their spouses.

I don't really do Facebook, but I have seen couples give joint emails. In one way, I think it's a bit creepy. But, in the situations in which I've been given the joint email, I've never been a close friend and it's always been peers with kids in my community, and that I sort of admire as a sneaky way for the wife to make sure coparenting is 50/50.

When the emails for birthday party invites, school functions, etc. come only to me, I am forced to manage them or delegate them, but then I still have to stay on top of whether the person to whom I have delegated fills the responsibility because it's my social capital that is wasted when DH fails to RSVP or show for the birthday party.

So, I don't know -- creepy or a necessary step to our emancipation?

I think facebook should outlaw them. It's just weird. Doesn't facebook require real names? How does JackJill Smith qualify? I know a couple like this and it's "JackJill Smith" except it's 99% the woman posting, but the picture is of the man. It's awkward all around.

I have a friend who shares Facebook with her husband. “The Smith Family”. And at the Super Bowl party I overheard him ask her who some guy was who’d commented on one of their joint posts. Her response was “he’s a friend, actually more like an acquaintance, from high school”. So I’m not sure who the insecure one is. I’d seriously, seriously doubt either has ever cheated. But there is obvious insecurity there.

I haven’t seen this yet on Facebook, but if I did I would find it weird + controlling.

And I certainly would not be a friend of theirs.

Cheating religious nuts, you mean.

The fact that people are in Facebook, or any other social media is just odd to me. So couple vs individual accounts makes no difference.

And I don’t buy the whole “just to share pictures” thing, there are a million file sharing options outside of social media.

Bring back the death penalty for them exclusively.

I only know old people who do this. They log on every once in a while to like pictures of their grandkids.
