Hmm... No offense, but that's a rather odd choice for a snack...

hmmmm, i don't think so. I have two teens and a tween and this is what they like too. Cereal is a snack in our house, jerky and nuts are quick and portable, as are bars. My 11 year old eats eggs almost every day. All are very active. Typical boy food.

The PP was joking about the "two growing teenage boys."

Really?? My teens only eat their younger siblings’ Melissa & Doug play food when snacking!

These threads are always interesting to me, to pick up ideas that are just not in our wheelhouse (or rather, pantry). My kids like to microwave nachos (chips and cheese) and frozen tacquitos. They also eat yogurts, cereal, pretzels, chips and salsa/guacamole, pita chips and carrots with hummus. They will eat an apple or melon if reminded but they never gravitate to fruit of their own volition.

he likes to make smoothies, eat salami, one kind of cheese (a particular cheddar) and crackers.

For awhile when he was eating a huge amount, I would make a tray of potato chunks for him to make tacos throughout the week with potatoes and beans.

celery with cream cheese
jicama
cherry tomatoes.

Fruit, fruit, and more fruit
Babybel cheese
Salami, cheese, and crackers
Celery with peanut butter (it’s more like peanut butter with celery)
Nuts (expensive, btw, and worth a Costco membership on their own)
Yogurt
Leftovers
Hard boiled eggs
Sous vide eggs
Coconut chips
