DD had a stomach virus recently that lasted 2 weeks. Week one had vomiting for 2 days, then a very light tan diarrhea for the next week and half. It was bizarre. But dr told me it was totally normal.

Our daycare has a stomach virus and confirmed flu right now. My kid had the stomach virus in a fairly mild form (diarrhea for a day) and we all got flu shots so I hope that doesn't hit us too hard either.

We had a pretty quiet fall, then January hit with a vengeance. Both kids had stomach virus that led to vomiting and diarrhea. Followed by roseola in one kid and flu A in the other.

DH works in the Children’s ED and saw Flu A, Flu B, strep, RSV, some virus that starts with a c and I’ve never heard of and multiple stomach bugs during one shift yesterday. DC is sick.

I work in a walk in clinic. Seeing lots of stomach viruses. Flu A is really increasing over the last few weeks, especially in the 5/6 age range. Also seeing a lot of strep. In younger kids strep can present with more nausea/stomach irritation and doesn't always have the sore throat so if fevers continue it doesn't hurt to get swabbed.

Gastroenteritis is going around (DC DOH sent a letter via our DD’s school). Our baby got pretty sick, but it was our older preschooler that had to go to the hospital for fluids after severe dehydration.

Zofran is our best friend and helped stopped the vicious cycle so we could keep fluids down in the kids.

This was going around my daycare in DC- hit every kid a little different. Some just stomach pains, some throwing up, some diarrhea


Pp here - that’s good to know since I’ve been worried about the odd symptoms of just random stomach pain. Any idea how long it lasted? We are headed towards day 4 which seems terribly long for gastro virus.


Op here. We are on day 5. Agree this is LONG.


I posted elsewhere about debating going to the dr for very similar. Started Saturday evening, cleared up today. So hopefully the end is in sight for you all too. Agreed, very weird symptoms.


Thanks for the update! I am a PP. Hoping we are all better by tomorrow! It’s been so long.

Since christmas, we've had: upper respiratory infection (all), ear infection (toddler), and now stomach virus that won't end (all). My poor toddler threw up everywhere last friday, then had diarrhea pretty much until yesterday, with a random episode of vomiting on sunday night. I spent all of sunday night puking and I still don't feel right. Enjoying some diarrhea today.
