PP must have a lot of stuff - we have an outback for our family of four (2 and 5 yr olds) and it's just fine for our family of four - however, it's frustrating that we can't fit a 5th passenger with car seats. As soon as my small 5 year old fits in a booster, it won't be a problem anymore, but we're still probably going to upgrade to a Highlander or Chrysler Pacifica when the Outback starts requiring major repairs.

We have a Subaru Outback that we got when pregnant with #2. Honestly it felt too small the week we brought our 2nd kid home and I put a double stroller in it.

Right now we’re waiting another 2-3 years. I want a 3rd row for car pooling but I figure that doesn’t start until the kids are in high back boosters. My oldest is only 4, so we’ve got a bit of time.

Get the 3rd row.

We have two kids in car seats and have a Honda CRV. It’s ample for our needs. If a dog were in the mix as well and we regularly all got in the car together I might be thinking of a larger car.

We are expecting our third and just bought A Honda Odissey. We are very happy so far. Had a Ford Explorer untilnow and the Odissey is a much more convenient car for a family
