My DH doesn’t even get the snow off the windshield or side mirrors. I don’t understand it, but he claims it’s a thing in the Midwest and everyone does it on purpose because it’s funny. Uh huh.

So is using a turn signal. But about 50% of people don't. We all survive.

The help takes care of it for me. What’s the issue?

Move to a house with a garage. Problem solved. Haven't cleaned off my car in 12 years.

I'd bet anything I'm shorter than you, and I did it. At 6:30 this morning. Open the car door, stand on the footwell, now you can reach.

Clearing off a car isn't that hard.

But really - if you are driving so close to the car in front of you that you're really worried about snow flying off their car and smacking into you - you are driving too close. Slow down and back off. If snow on the road freaks you out too much even for that, stay home. Then you won't need to waste so much energy worrying about what other people do.

That's not how we do it in Boston. Real Bostonians take care of our snowly responsibilities - including fully clearing our vehicles. Inadequately doing so is a dead giveaway of "doesn't know how to deal with snow."

You can kill someone. People have died from flying ice from other cars. It should be a felony. If you are too lazy to take the extra 5 minutes to clear it off, then do not drive.

That is no excuse, use a broom or one of the hundreds of inventions they have to remove snow from talk vehicles. If it falls off like a sheet of ice you could kill or hurt the people behind you.
