You did a college acceptance FB post. You’re just as arrogant and tacky.
OP here. DS wanted us to do it. He is very proud of the accomplishment. Many many people post the college your kid decides to attend. Also, I have no problem with people posting about HS they intend to attend, but to post about merit money and every other school's acceptance is over the top.
Nope, sorry.
Just because he wanted you to do it doesn’t mean you do it. He can be proud of it without you splashing it all over FB. Just because lots of people do it doesn’t mean you do it.
+1 Just because your friend is extremely tacky doesn't give you a pass for being moderately tacky. And even less so because you're whining about the friend being extremely tacky.
What is tacky about announcing your kids decision on what college to attend? I don't see a problem with it at all. Lots of my friends are doing it this year. I sense some of these people whining about it are just envious of some of the acceptances.

LOL- some people are desperate to brag publicly.

The university he will attend is his dream school (not an ivy) and I don't see any issue with sharing that news. I also don't have a problem if someone announces where their kid decides to attend high school, but please spare me each and every acceptance and merit aid offer.
