My 11 yo is in size 8.5 men’s! And my 9 yo daughter is in 8.5 women’s. We pretty much shop the clearance section at Nordstrom Rack.
That's me. DS is 10 y/o and in size 8 men. It's $$$ and also hard to find child appropriate footwear. For example, he still loves playing in the snow and very few brands actually make snow boots tall enough for real playing.
