You think that most mid-50's men are swoon worthy? Come on. We all age and that includes you.
Most people over 50 are unattractive. But what do you do if you are an attractive over-50 man and basically can’t find anyone your age whom you are attracted to? It’s easier for women to be flexible about looks, just like it’s easier for men to be flexible about money and status.

Another mid 50s man. Agree. There are women in their 50s who are in great shape, but very few are on dating sites. Probably the attractive ones get enough attention IRL and don't need Bumble.
Attractive women in their 50s are already married. I have noticed widows in their 50s are much better looking than divorced women.

Young 50s man here. I agree with this! Though knowing some of my peers I don’t think they all see themselves as the exception. It’s usually just us guys that work out and are fit physically and financially. We can treat a young 30s woman well. And experience really does matter in all areas.

OP, I bet you anything many of those men are over 50 and are lying about being 45-49. Still, keep an open mind. If you meet them and they look like the Crypt Keeper, then you can "go to the bathroom" and head out the restaurant's back door with a clear conscience.

I would be wary of a man in his mid to late 40s who has never been married. I also be worried if you want more kids they are too old. And I’d be worried about older potential step children...not a good dynamic.

But it’s not a situation you need an outside sanity check on. It’s like asking what hair color your date should have. Just a matter of personal taste, particula if they are not going to marry. Another persons’ taste should not matter. So what if someone else likes or doesn’t like older guys? What does that have to do with her?

Most people over 50 are biohazards. This doesn't matter as much to women since women are less worried about looks, but it's truly difficult for men to get into older women who aren't insanely good looking for their age.

Because OP you're gonna get two reactions. Either "gross, there's probably something wrong with him!" type of nonsense or "Go for it, girl!" Not a whole lot of room for nuance here.
You are 32 years old, so you're not exactly a spring chicken. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a late 40s man being attracted to an early 30s woman. No one is forcing you to reciprocate their attention.

This is probably the best answer. This thread comes up weekly here and it always ends up this way.
If you find him attractive and like him then go for it. Why not? If he's in his late 40s, he's still got a good 25-30 years before he's likely to be a decrepit old man. Since you're not looking for marriage, you don't have to worry about that anyway.
