I love both those names (but wouldn’t/can’t personally use them). Also, Isaac was on our shortlist. Other names we considered:

We are in the exact same spot, Jewish with a Hispanic last name and ended up deciding on Jonah and are happy with it.

I love Boaz, but I know one and he's a great guy.

OP here - I love August, but it's increasingly common around here (NYC) and thus feels like I'd be jumping onto the bandwagon. I also actually love the name Christian, but, alas, we're Jewish.

DH and I reluctantly determined Boaz to be too out there for us... maybe will save as a middle name (the B has significance for us).

I'm betting we'll end up with Isaac, a name we both really like, but I'll add Lucas and Noam to the list. Noah is extremely common in our area. I also love Ben but am not a huge fan of Benjamin.
