African American women are much less likely to have ever been married by age 40 than white women. I'm a 40yo black wife and mother--of the women I know from college, some are married, but many are still single. Most of the never married women also do not have children. I'd say they're normal/ordinary people--the dating pool is quite different for black women.

I'm assuming you're white, and that the idea of never marrying is strange to you, since it's not common in your peer group. But it's not an uncommon occurrence among black women, for multiple reasons.

And I can guess I can safely assume who you voted for in 2016, given your valuing of some moral failings over others (even though many of us don't consider being single, e.g., Stacey Abrams, a moral failing--if they can do the job effectively, then that's what matters to many people).

Went to Duke
Went to UMD law school
Worked in the states attorney's office
Worked on education in the county
Lowed crime
Lowed police brutality

She has not shown herself able to bring jobs to the county but is he education and tough on crime candidate.

I don't think there is some "group" trying to help her rise, she is just smart, educated and worked her way up. But Governor of MD, not going to happen with S. MD and Western MD. and really, Montgomery County as liberal as it is thinks that PG is sh*t and that their schools are trash.

Lol. I guess you should also talk to DC’s mayor, as she’s also a single mom by choice, having just adopted a baby girl. Something tells me the children of both women will be fine.
