K-12 education is 100x more important than undergrad college. I’d rather have my kids attend top prep schools & UVA than merely good publics & t10 college.

Only the legal profession does.

That also depends. If you're not in to slaving away for Biglaw, you don't necessarily need a T10. Granted, it never hurts to have one, but it's not necessary.

It is much more difficult to get a job in government, biglaw, and plum in-house positions (like Amazon, etc.) Not impossible, but it is a hurdle to get over that isn't there if you have the pedigree.

They don't care once you're in, either. After that it's all about performance.

That is a fact not an opinion

Citation?

Where else do you expect legacies, athletes, URMs, VIPs and full pay/big donors to end up?

So you don’t have one. 10-4.

You do not have to go to a top 20 college in order to be happy and successful in life.

A smaller school, even if not well-known or well-regarded, can lead to a better grad school, if one takes advantage of being a big fish in a small pond.

+1 Although the university one attends can be considered part of upbringing.

University of the District of Columbia. UDC grad is a phrase of insult on DCUM.
