We both plan on retiring in a couple of years and we've been discussing getting a warm weather winter place that we would share.

How does this qualify if you aren’t married though? Lots of couples don’t live together; that’s not unusual. It’s the married but not living together that’s unusual.

DH and I are looking forward to this arrangement as I think it would make life so much easier. We do agree about being together, but have very different ways of living and spending money.
