He does make me coffee. I drink a lot of it. But the biggest benefit is that he helps me to feel emotionally secure and worthy.

I hire most of this stuff out. DH doesn’t even make that much money by DCUM standards. Why would you spend any time fighting about the laundry?

DH here. I do all of that and most of the husbands in my neighborhood do too. Why is this a humble brag? It's not uncommon. It's just that this is being discussed on a relationship forum so you only hear about problems.

I did all that. I'm now divorced. I'm also an excellent cook.

He's incredibly kind and generous. I'm a SAHM but when he gets home from work, he says "go take a bath or read your book, let me put the kids to bed" so I can get a break. When he's home, he's 50/50 in the trenches with me or even more like 60/40.

He buys me thoughtful presents and remembers when I idly mention liking something from moths ago. He's good looking, fit, and great in bed. I always have 2 orgasms to his 1. He snores but lets me sleep in our big bed while he sleeps in the queen in our guest bedroom.

He takes care of all the bills, taxes, investments, travel documents, car maintenance ~ boring details like that. Plus he's handy around the house! (Which I think is unusual for a DC area husband). He refinished the interior trim in our house, built a retaining wall around our patio, pulled and replaced the old electrical wiring in our house, replaced our HVAC system, and he builds furniture for a hobby.

He's an AMAZING dad. Truly the best. He's much more laid back with them than I am and has the knack of being able to play with them more than I do. He doesn't get anxious like I do. He coaches our son through his advanced math and science classes and FaceTimes with him when he's OOT for work. He even left a meeting once to FaceTime with him.

He's funny and smart and I love talking to him. He's my favorite person and best friend. We've been together for 20 years now.

And the icing on the cake is that he makes pretty good money ~ 700k +. We have more than enough for all our needs and most of our wants. I got really really lucky with him.

Mine is pretty perfect

My DH does the laundry, dishes, cooks and will do the bathrooms and vacuuming without complaint when asked.
He makes decent money and has amazing benefits through work.
He is sweet and funny and a great father.
For some reason he worships me.
He is AMAZING at oral.
Thank Goodness other women overlooked him b.c he's 5'8".
He is perfect for me!!

He does all of this and more. He cooks, we grocery shop together, we both do yard work, it's a partnership. I never iron, so he does his work shirts. All this said, neither of us is perfect. He leaves half-empty coffee cups everywhere. I leave lids on too loose. Other things too of course. But we're happy together. =)

My husband is great. Patient, thoughtful, kind, loving, funny, smart, engaged/involved w the kids, hard working/earns plenty of $$. Only thing I don't like is that he's a perfectionist which means a lot of things have to be just so which can be aggravating and he has trouble making any decisions that aren't well planned in advance (really that's a positive thing but sometimes I wish he was more impulsive).

Real life is pretty darned good. One key to that is to not expect perfection or think of yourself as a princess. I'm not his princess, I'm his wife, and I hope he'd answer a question like this the same way I would -- no, she's not perfect, but pretty damned good!

Personally, I cook great, am thoughtful, am a good dad, physically fit and good looking. I'm certainly not perfect but you have to aim a little higher if you're only qualifications are having a good job, can cook and are nice.
