I believe Draper may be closed this winter for repairs. Pickup may shift to Stafford on Sundays (2-4) as it has in the past...but it's not settled yet.

I'm probably not your target audience, though. He's only playing indoor soccer this year, and wanted to play baseball in the fall and spring.

He's on the older side for the soccer league, and he is a decent enough player - but he's not a superstar.

we live in a favela, and there are retired professional soccer players living here and teaching kids the game for free, so our 6 kids are always playing

My son and his friends went every day in middle school and practiced at the community center turf fields in Arlington. There are many Hispanic families that go with the whole family and kick the ball around. Now that he is older he can play the pick up games with the older teens and 20 years old on the Arl turf fields. He and his friends are all really good players because of this extra fun practice and all play on travel teams and HS teams.

My U13 plays at recess every day (though he is constantly complaining that there's too many kids who play and too many who 'suck.'). He also plays at Draper Drive Park from time to time when pickup is held twice a week.

I have pugg goals in my trunk and we are always tossing them out on the field. Within minutes there are 4-7 other kids out there with mine.

3 kids play every night in our basement. They love it.

I'm in the SW part of Virginia and there's a nice gathering that happens every week during the off season (summer and winter).

It involves a healthy mix of people, all of whom contribute some money to "rent" a local soccer facility in the winter.

Boys, girls, men, women, from multiple clubs. People are very supportive of it and are happy to contribute toward the cost of the pinneys and balls used.
