1310 SAT is below the average at Denison, which is 1330. My DC just graduated from there. OP's DC might have a chance for admission, but merit aid would be limited.


Where do you see that SAT average? Denison is the one school where I cannot find their common data set. The numbers colleges put on their "fast facts" often don't fully show the picture (like how many kids submit SAT scores, if there are spring admits who aren't counted etc) or what the average is (I just see the 25-75th percentile).

Agreed. (I was the poster who said it was a reach.) I think people start reacting to different posts and lose sight of the original question.

Killington, population 771, is a “larger” city?


Rutland is the 2nd largest city in VT but it’s no Burlington. There’s a movie theater and a mall but otherwise it’s pretty light on culture.

Agree, but not sure OP's DC has the stats for it.

Ohio Wesleyan is similarly close to Columbus and easier to get into.


As with most SLACs admission will be (a lot) easier if DC is a DS not DD. If OP child is a son I think the stats are close - if DD Denison may be more of a reach.
