I have a number of female friends who were smokers and in the past couple of years have switched to vaping and are presently working their way down in nicotine content with the idea of quitting eventually. None of them have had any trouble minding dates or relationships with non-smokers since they started vaping. Now, they're all fairly attractive, so that likely factors in, but vaping has not seemed to limit their pool whatsoever.

Never. It’s a class and health issue.

Why would gender matter?
Do YOU find the smoking gross? then it is a deal breaker. Do you find it objectionable? Deal breaker. Do you not really care? NOT a deal breaker. Do you think it is a little bit sexy? NOT a dealbreaker.

See how that works?

Yes... My diesel truck burns fuel cleaner than cigarettes!

Still no. If for no other reason than no doubt she looks way older than her age, or will soon if she’s still in her 20’s.

Is she a smoker? Go for it. Otherwise, no.

Depends on what you were smoking. Cigarettes? Absolutely a turn off. Vaping doesn't do it for me either. If you wanted to get high and fool around? Turn on.

Hypocrite.

Deal breaker here. Won’t date anyone who is even a casual/social smoker only.

It definitely would be a turn off and a deal breaker for me. I wouldn't date somebody who smoked.

I've been smoking for almost 50 years and if my mother is any indication I have about another 25 years left.

Not that it's not a bad habit, it is. Just saying, stereotypes.

You’re living in the wrong era.

I am hooked on Perry Mason reruns every night, and it’s hysterical to see how they smoked up a storm in the late ‘50’s. And yeah, it could be pretty sexy. Give me some Paul Drake!

(But in the real world today, nobody hates cigarettes more than I do. They gave my mom a long, painful death. And cigarettes didn’t do the Paul Drake and Hamilton Burger actors any good either, as they died in their mid-50s. Della abstained, and her portrayer lived to age 94.

But I digress.)

No smokers. Nasty habit. Second hand smoke is also dangerous.
