The problem with affordable schools is they contain budget people

Who are actually much nicer than most of the MoCo people that post here on DCUM, so I'm good with that.

Most people feel comfortable around people like themselves

Yay! Pathetic crazy lady is back!

500k and no, rather do a high SES school

I appreciate your honesty. It makes things so much easier when we don’t have to dance around your racism.

Avoid the following high schools:
Oakland Mills
Long Reach
Howard
Wilde Lake
Hammond

You should be fine anywhere else.

So, nice people feel comfortable around nice people, and snobs feel comfortable around snobs. Works for me.

My son is in an elementary school that feeds into river hill. We are 50% Asian. There is plenty of religious and racial diversity. Maybe the Hispanic community is somewhat underrepresented. So unless diversity is an euphemism for something else, diversity and high ses can coexist.

This is similar to the W schools. Yes its diverse but in MCPS diversity doesn't really mean diversity it only means having a very large group that is predominantly poor performing so only lower SES AA and Hispanic students.

At that budget, try schools that feed to Atholton High School.
