There are a few of you who keep falsely accusing Hogan of racism. He is not racist. He has a black Lt. Governor. He has an Asian wife.
All the more proof. He's overcompensating, trying to hide behind his buddy and his wife.
"Oh, I just CAN'T be a racist - some of my BEST friends are Black! And my wife is an Oriental, too!"
Yeah no. He's as racist as trump.

The Sun endorsed Anthony Brown four years ago.
The Sun is one of the most liberal newspapers in America. Endorsing a Republican is no easy thing for them to do. Anyone who's grown up reading the Sun knows this. I wouldn't be surprised if the last time the Sun endorsed a Republican for the governorship was in the 1950s....
You're simply pissed off because they took a long, hard look at Jealous and finally decided they couldn't do it. And it has absolutely nothing to do with skin colors involved. Jealous is just not a valid candidate.
It speaks volumes that both the Washington post and Baltimore son have endorsed Governor Hogan.

Cardin says we should try to help the migrant caravan. Seriously? Most of the undocumented migrants end up in Montgomery County, and MoCo wants to use our tax money on lawyers for them. This just means more of our taxes get siphoned from schools and other county programs to pay for it.
And Cardin wants to send our money to help them come????? I thought Cardin was a shoe in, but he's gone off the rails as well.
It's really a sad situation when someone thinks like this. We have so many poor and struggling already here in this country, citizens, legal immigrants and illegal immigrants. We need to devote our resources to those who are living in this country. We have homeless and jobless here in Maryland that need the help like a solid meal and a warm place to sleep or assistance in finding jobs. We have some resources, but not enough for all of our homeless and jobless. And Cardin wants us to spend tax payer money on foreigners in another country who's sole goal is to advance on the US border to violate our immigration laws and put more drain on our public resources. While I have a lot of sympathy for the struggles that are driving the caravan to seek out somewhere better than where they left, their welfare is NOT our problem. Our impoverished residents in this country and in this state should be our priority, not Central American refugees trying to enter our country illegally.
Maybe the US shouldn't have gone in and destabilized their governments decades ago in order to make it easier for US business interests while creating a power vacuum, and maybe we shouldn't be fighting a senseless drug war that only helps cartels? Maybe we should have thought of that? I know the Governor's race is about Maryland, not US foreign policy, but Senator Cardin is our voice in the federal government. We have to sleep in the bed we make.

NP here. Wow, never saw this coming, but good for the Sun for endorsing a candidate whom they see is the best for the job, regardless of political party.

Exactly. It’s on the Maryland Democrats that they could not field a decent, competent alternative to Hogan.

Aren't they planning to reach the border and apply for asylum? If they wanted to enter illegaly, wouldn't it be a bit conspicuous to try and sneak over the border with thousands of other people?
Even so, we definitely do not need to spend money even humanitarian aid on them when we have poor and homeless here in the US that need our help. Essentially you are saying that the poor and desperate in Central American countries are more deserving of our help that US citizens and residents. I hate this attitude that prioritizes the rest of the world to our own citizens and residents.
