OP- I'm sure you're a pretty pregnant woman. Don't worry about it. Just wear comfy clothes and enjoy the moment.

I'm 5'4, normally 115 - 120. I'm 30 weeks and have already gained 25 pounds. I can't pull off the super fitted pregnancy t-shirt style dresses without wearing a Spanx pregnancy shaper, but A-line dresses and jeans w/ tees or flowy tops have been great on me.

Target also has really cute maternity wear. Some of the pieces are hit or miss, but the Ingrid and Isabel line for Target is pretty great.

I had to do a lot of business travel between 5th and 7th month of pregnancy. My uniform was a long clingy jersey dress (from anywhere, Old Navy and Gap is fine) topped with my normal suit jacket, unbuttoned. My usual fabulous jewelry, scarf, bag and shoes. I usually went with pants but for some reason in my third pregnancy I absolutely could not take any pressure on my stomach at all. Dresses worked.

My first was a February baby and I lived in long tank tops (Old Navy tall tanks, not maternity) and cardigans with leggings or jeans. I also wore a lot of scarves. I prefered tight clothes over "flowy", personally. 2nd baby was an August baby and I was a hot, sweaty mess. Much preferred being pregnant in winter!

Avoid loose clothes if you want to avoid looking frumpy. It's those gigantic sweaters that gives the frump look IMHO. I think wearing fitted maternity clothes is the way to go. I also think that it only works for women are slimmer to begin with, carrying a "basketball" as they say and not those who gain weight all around.

OP - I just ordered a bunch of stuff off of ASOS, hopefully that will work!

This is actually my second pregnancy, the first I was due in summer and actually loved having a ton of tank dresses that I thought were cute. Its the tops needed in winter that are throwing me off.

The best maternity clothes aren't normally handed down because the pregnant woman wore her best stuff EVERY DAY and it fell apart at the end.

I just wore skinny (maternity) jeans and went up a size in regular tops and it was fine. I've never seen an attractive maternity top. The side ruching, the empire waist, the ties in the back...horrendous. I'm tall and thin, though, and I could get away with a few XS eileen fisher type tops and that was it.

I’m on my third pregnancy and got a lot of great things from stitch fix maternity this time around. I did it 3 or 4 times during the pregnancy and got some great dresses, jeans and tops. I used cardigans and tights to round it out.

Stretchy dresses, leggings, and sometimes a scarf was my go to maternity wear (I was due at the end of November). But that's also my go to wear 75% of fall anyways.

i stayed away from loose, free falling clothing. Huge boob and decent bump plus no structure? I looked like a tent.
