I taught at Randolph-Macon College when Dave Brat was an econ professor there. So I was really offended during his first campaign when he told voters that his colleagues taught the students "mush," while he taught them the "truth." I made a special effort to challenge my students on their beliefs, regardless of what they were, so that they could learn to argue effectively. My job was to teach them to think critically, even if I disagreed with them on their politics, and to be able to articulate the arguments that supported their beliefs. My job was NOT to teach them the alleged "truth"!

So of course I donated to Spanberger's campaign.

She’s a force. Republicans should be worried. Even if she loses on Tuesday she is a force.

I’m not voting for her because of her dismissal about the concerns from the inmate. Just because someone is serving their time in jail does not mean you can dismiss them. Inmates are still human beings. As well all know society seems to forget about inmates in jail and those humans tend to suffer many injustices.

Dave Brat is the one who compared the problems of his reelection to the US House of Representatives to the problems of a current prison inmate, and I agree with you that they suffer many injustices. Brat is a tone-deaf buffoon. Sorry if my post wasn’t clear.
