You realize that many of Honda's manufacturing operations are in the US, right? And many of Chrysler's are in Mexico and Canada?

I have a Town and Country (am on my 2nd one because I drive over 20k miles/year) and it never even occurred to me to be embarrassed abut the car I drive. Ever.

I had an Odyssey and the transmission blew at 97k.

I can afford a Town and Country with leather/entertainment etc or a Odyssey with cloth seats (which will be filthy immediately) and bare bones. I chose the former.

The only time I am embarrassed by my car, is when it gets really dirty and needs a clean out. Not by the make/model of my car.

I've driven my Pacifica to playgrounds where every other minivan/SUV was Toyota or Honda. But I didn't blush or get concerned. The day I get embarrassed about the brand of my minivan here in DC is probably the day I jump off the roof.

Nope. Bought a Pacifica Hybrid in March. Fully loaded and 10k less than Odyssey. I've only had to put gas in it twice since then (once was after driving to the beach), and don't expect to have to refuel until the end of the year at least.

I don't expect it to last me as long as a Honda or Toyota would, but that's ok. I just want it to get me through the little kid years, then I will be happily getting something else.

I love my 2006 Chrysler Town and Country with almost 200,000 miles. I’ve test driven the new Odyssey and Pacifica, as well as the Acura MDX and some other SUV’s but the Pacifica is my favorite so far.

I used to have an Odyssey. We only had it about 6 years (purchased new) and sunk a TON of money into it for repairs. Finally we had enough and bought a Chrysler (Town and Country, which I think they don't make anymore.) We've had the Chrysler since 2012 and have put a penny into it beyond regular maintenance (oil changes, etc.) I am SO much happier with the Chrysler!
