I like OPOS but it can seem like a cult if you get sucked into the FB posts. I just follow recipes from a few people I trust.

I would not get an Indian pressure cooker. Get a modern pressure cooker. I too have the fagor duo. It does a great job. Also OPOS is not anything to be impressed with. BTW, you dont want to make a Briyani should not be made in a PC and a Samosa is not in a PC either. Also dont waste a single second of your time making samosa from scratch.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Indian pc’s. They work well and last forever if maintained well and are unbeatable in terms of efficiency with OPOS. Have you ever cooked using OPOS methods? If not, how would you know to be impressed by it? There is no reason biryani cannot be made in a PC. The best chicken biryani I ever made was with an old 3 liter Indian pc and it took 10 min. OPOS cooking is all done in a PC, and everything from scratch. It’s not a waste of time for me to use fresh non processed ingredients to make healthy food for my family. How is it better to heat up frozen samosas that have been sitting in the freezer for who knows how long? Anyway, it’s up to you but every single second not done using OPOS seems like the true waste.

Honestly if you haven’t attempted OPOS for yourself or know what it is, then it doesn’t seem right to be critiquing those who have. OPOS is NOT:
1) dump all and cook
2) same as my mother’s grandmothers aunts etc that have been doing for ages ( no its really not ) and stating so shows you have no idea what OPOS is.
3) cult, occult, conspiracy etc.

OPOS users do not force anyone to join the support groups or force anyone to stay who don’t wish to be there. If people using the traditional cooking methods are happy with their dishes, wonderful! I greatly enjoy cooking but my dishes and enjoyment of them have exponentially increased since joining the groups. I personally don’t want to stand in front of the stove sautéing multiple dishes when I can make the same faster, more easily, and actually better tasting food with OPOS.

I've learned a lot from them and the techniques they use make my pressure cooked food come out better (and I've been using a PC for years). It's simplified my evening routine without compromising the taste as much as regular pressure cooking did in the past.
