At that age MS was performing in the following

Kramer vs. Kramer
The Deer Hunter
The French Lieutenant's Woman
Sophie's Choice

KK is typecast and still getting more cute ingenue roles. I think once Hollywood stops thinking of her as a young cute thing, more serious roles will come.

I do like Michelle Williams. She’s come a long way since dawson’s creek. I still love the movie Dick, though.

Definitely not KK. I'd say the person with the best shot is Kate Winslet.

No.

KK isn’t even an above average actress.

Oh, I like this idea! She was hesartbreaking in Manchester by the Sea.

KK mostly does British costume dramas and upper class parts.

I agree with this assessment. Meryl Streep has shown herself to be incredibly versatile.

I do find Keira Knightly magnetic, though, for reasons I can't explain, and I'm a straight female.

This was by design, and demonstrates a broader range than her usual abandoned wife (BB mountain, Greatest Show), even going back to Dawson's creek -- she was the one they killed off at the end.

n the two-part series finale, set in 2008, the gang learns of Jen's fatal heart condition, pulmonary congestion, after she faints during Gale Leery 's second wedding. Jen, now the single mother of a one-year-old daughter, Amy, ends up hospitalized and reveals to Jack, her best friend, that there is nothing to be done to save her. Leaving Amy in Jack's care, Jen dies with Grams at her side on May 14, 2008.[i]

I agree with this. No one will be Meryl Streep but KK could have a great career ahead of her. I don’t think her acting ability has been tested yet.

On a superficial level, like Meryl, she has an arresting face. Not conventionally beautiful, but special. I’ve never been able to decide whether I think Meryl is beautiful or not. But they both have a certain luminosity.

This.

They have an it factor on the screen.
