What are your tips for getting your diet jumpstarted and sticking to it? I want to, no need to lose 40 pounds at least!

I found doing intermittent fasting (eating between 12pm and 8pm) works best for me. Other PPs find keto has worked. You just have to keep trying.

You lose so much water weight in the first week that you will feel very motivated to continue. And if you feel like eating a ton, go ahead and have a huge plate of bacon and eggs. Eat all the nuts you want. You won't feel hunger anymore and you'll have more energy. The trick is to REALLY be in ketosis though. You have to think you're consuming literally zero carbs and you'll be consuming under 30g which is enough to push you into ketosis.
I'm the original Keto poster and preach it! I was so bummed when I realized how many carbs were in broccoli and the hidden ones in shredded cheeses that have starch and .. oh the other million things. But you are so right.. as someone who never missed breakfast for the first 35 years of her life, it is very bizarre to have a stomach rumble, look at the clock and see that's it's 3:15. I never understood those people who said they "forget to eat" .. until now.

It's not coming off fast like other diets, but I can do it because I am not depriving myself of foods I like. I aim to eat half of what is on my plate but what has really helped me is that I load up on well prepared, flavorful vegetables and eat all of those. They fill me up.
