I don't get why she isn't described as Japanese-Haitian instead of as only Japanese. She was born in Japan, but has lived in the US since she was three.

Are the parents together? I read that she has her mother's surname and not her father's because they felt she would be treated more fairly during the time when she lived in Japan.

Doesn't she get to decide how she FEELS, ethnically and racially? Don't jump to conclusions here, unless she told you.

She had every right to be upset. Men have been allowed to have tantrums with no penalties. They change their shirt on the court with no penalties. Yet a woman gets upset or changes her shirt, and they’re penalized.

Serena is a queen. Naomi is a queen.

Once a again different rules apply to Serena and she was treated unfairly. Of course she was emotional. If you watch tennis regularly you will hear much worse things said to umpires and not penalized.

Her coach actually admitted to coaching her and said all the coaches do it so it was odd that she was called on it.

He added that she didn’t see.
