Once I stopped supplements it dropped to 0.9 I was told it can fluctuate, different labs can matter, that there used to be a different standard of measurement several years ago, and also that being Vitamin D deficient can suppress AMH (I think I have that right, but it doesn't sound right just now).

I also retrieved many eggs but had trouble making blasts, with all embryos arresting at Day 4 in the lab. But for some reason I can get early chemicals through intercourse, which means the embryos survive longer than Day 4. Embryos just do better in my body than in the lab. You could try a Day 3 fresh transfer maybe? I also have learned that male MTHFR can be associated with poor embryo viability in the lab and my husband is homozygous C677T.

what supplements were you taking?

I don't get how I could have great reserve, great hormones #s, great response to stims, great sperm numbers and then no blasts. I'm not getting abnormal embryos. I'm not getting anything past 3/4 days. I also should mention I have a 3 year old (natural pregnancy). Was that really my last good quality egg? at 35? With the exact numbers I'm getting today?

I was in the same situation as you but higher AMH and AFC. First cycle nothing went to blast, implanted two on day 3 and nothing. Second cycle, different protocol, and we got several blasts and one live baby. Protocol seemed to make a big difference for us. Fwiw first cycle was antagonist and second long agonist.

2-3 months of methylated folate and vitamin B12. A prescription version is called Metanx, but there are several over-the-counter versions. I'm not saying it's the reason everyone can't make blasts, but it's a relatively simple treatment and can't hurt to try.

What was the treatment?

I heard about it from some patients who were seeing a doctor at SIRM in NY who had seen anecdotally that patients were able to make blasts when both partners were treated for MTHFR mutations if they both tested positive for those. A couple patients I knew found this to be true for them. So then I did some Googling and there are quite a few medical articles discussing male MTHFR. I don't think the mechanism is even related to homocysteine levels.
