Yes. I judge everyone on the company they keep. It’s a reflection of their values. But I rarely judge someone on their appearances, so I wouldn’t bat an eye at a frumpy dh. I work full time, have kids and know how hard getting to the gym is.

I believe this is a really valid reason the amount of woman that state their reason for marriage is just wanting a family. Many guys with dumpy woman cause they wanted children.

No, just shave it all off. My boyfriend went bald young and just shaves his head. It works for him.

We've gone far past that. Every junior congressman has graduated to hair replacement surgery. All I'm saying is if a woman can have a c-section scar you can do something about that hairline.


Wow. I don't know what it is about this hair obsession with some folks. Men lose their hair. Period. It is the lucky man who doesn't. Not all women think it is unattractive, as long as they keep it short and tidy and don't do a comb-over.

What does he do that irks you so much? I suspect that DH isn’t liked very much by neighbors because he’s not afraid to tell people their grass needs mowing, they need HOA approval, etc.


PP, why does your husband feel the need to get in your neighbors business? Why not mind his own business and let the HOA take care of the situation if it is really that dire? This doesn’t embarrass you?

This. DH has put 30 pounds over the years. At the time we started dating he had more hair than a guy in his 25 and made the time to work out at the gym 3 x week.

Exactly this. When we married my husband was in great shape and liked being active. I had no idea he was going to become an overweight slobby type who didn't take any pride in his appearance - I'm not happy about it either. But at some point you can't MAKE a person prioritize that stuff if they don't

A man (of any physique) with a fat wife is much worse. Men have many qualities that make them a catch (money, humor, personality, etc.). Men are typically judged on how attractive their wives are. Women are judged on whether or not they have a "good man"...and that can mean a lot of things.
