I find a walk works well, about 30 mins daily. Sometimes too well... I find myself needing to cut it short and head home...

I have struggled with this for a long time, and ended up with a bowel obstruction, which is terrible. I suggest eating oatmeal and/or grape nuts every morning. It's the only thing that works (other than the meds suggests here).

Google “yoga for constipation”
There are about 8 or 9 basic poses that can help work things out of your system. I did this for the exact same reason and it worked like a charm. Very relaxing too.
