My 8 year old liked it!

Saw it with my 9 year old son and we both really liked it. There were younger kids in the theater, but definitely a movie for older kids & adults.

My mom took DS (8), and DS really enjoyed it. I was surprised as it looks like it might be a little slow, and he typically prefers movies with lots of action. DH asked whether he would go see it again with him (joking) and DS said yes.

Not PP, but Disney is known for only hiring actors with very clean images, hence why they fired James Gunn. Gunn said some pretty repulsive things, but being a cheater is also pretty repulsive. Why is McGregor given a pass? Because he’s famous? Good looking? It’s a bit hypocritical.

So it is your belief that Disney typically only hires actors who have not committed infidelity?

My belief is that Disney makes a big deal about only hiring actors who are family-friendly, when they clearly don’t. Especially awkward since McGregor’s own kid went public slamming her father for cheating. I find it hypocritical that they threaten to fire females for posting bikini pics, but some males are given a pass. That being said, the cheating rumors came out after the movie was finished filming, so they couldn’t exactly re-shoot the whole thing without losing a ton of money.

I did go see WTP and thought it was cute, but I can see why people would boycott it.

“Cheated on your wife” is worlds away from “used your power to seduce unwilling people systematically.” I will see a movie with Ewan MacGregor; I won’t see one with Kevin Spacey.

My kids liked it, ages 5 and 7. I thought it was fine, slow paced but the time went very fast, if that makes any sense.
